How Can recurring Molluscum Contagiosum Be Treated?

I am in a monogamous relationship for one year. I developed molluscum contagiosum several months ago and it was treated with cryotherapy. I have had 2 recurrences since then. My partner denies ever having any symptoms. Why am I having these recurrences. can my partner be a carrier without having symptoms?

Hi,

Recurring molluscum contagiosum can be treated by freezing medical procedure. Using extreme cold during surgery or medical treatment. Removal of tissue by scraping or scooping with a surgical instrument called a curette.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Monish De, Oncologist
